Worried about medical result.......

Hi all had medicals on wed really worried now! Been a bit poorly sick this year in ICU with pneumonia and septicemia. Been so worried about my chest xray !! but it was clear yippie!!! Never thought about my other small ailments. Have some circulatory probs with my feet and some sensory loss. Nothing too bad can feel hot, cold, sharp etc. But examining Dr really focused on this at the of the medical he kind of hinted this may be a problem! Dont know if thats me being paranoid or what! Any one else Failed for similar reasons?????

best of luck .i needed further investigations into my health due to high cholesterol level which was a big worry so i know how u are feeling. I got through in the end, I know it's not as big a problem and you are going through provided you stay positive and take the necessary steps i don't see why you shouldn't get in. BEST OF LUCK

Cr*p. I had similar due to a mis-diagnosed abscess, and I mean a whopping hugh abscess, near my spine. I was even operated on for the wrong thing. This is after I emigrated to NZ though - not UK.

Have you ? What is the cause in your opinion. You should maybe get a definitive answer to this and be prepared with a consultants report.

Not trying to be alarmist at all but it does seem that NZ are tightening up on their health requirement policy from what we read.

Hi Stranger

Trynot to worry too much. Have you sent in your ITA yet?? If not look on your medical and check the end column on every page and the comments at the end. This is the area in which the panel doctor is meant to highlight any potential worries.

If there is anything there, then pre-empt the response from NZIS and get a consultation organised with a specialist if necessary.

I had a bascal cell carcinoma ( skin cancer) removed x amount of years ago, that NZIS picked up on. When I spoke to my GP, he said that it had been diagnosed, removed and no further treatment required, so he couldn't understand them making a song and dance about it.

I sometimes get the impression that NZIS are jobsworths and cover their own arses rather than looking at a clinical condition individually.

Good Luck and fingers crossed for you xxx

I know they are tightening up which is my worry. All problems result from the septicemia and being ventilated for a prolonged time! They wont know if its permanent for 12mths or so. But it is improving, not effecting my life greatly nor on any medication, Have more good days than bad but typically on the day of the medicals both feet were blue and mottled, not a good look!!! LOL

Hello to you too been a while, thanks I think it's because it's so soon after my illness things are not yet resolved and although I have a report of the Prof looking after me its all guesswork. If I was a year down the line and back at work I doubt it would be a problem, If it is will just have to reapply in a couple for years.... I am trying to stay positive and keep thinking it is just a blip!!!!!
