working visa hopefully to auckland?

Hi can anyone help me?

Im 23 and from the UK and I am going to apply for a working visa to new zealand for hopefully a year. I was wondering how easy this will be? as ideally I do want to work out there, just bar work or retail work really I don't have any trades so im a bit worried i might find it hard to get accepted as i don't really have many qualifications, I have GCSEs and A levels.

I was thinking about going to auckland as that seems to be quite a big city, i kinda wanted to go somewhere that was mordern but also had the nice scenery as well lol, im going on my own as well does anyone think its a good idea to go on your own? is it easy to meet people out there?

Any help, advise is really appricated!

Thanks

Charlotte :)

Your best bet sounds like a working holiday visa. you can apply for it at New Zealand Immigration's website. It is a temporary visa for either one or two years, sounds like it fits in with what you want to do. I think as long as you are under 30 and dont have medical issues you get the working holiday visa pretty easily.

auckland is the biggest city and its moderns and has nice scenery too.

if your going on you own it may be a good idea to look into a flatshare as a way to get to know people, look on trademe.co.nz
