Working holiday visas and remote work
Hello,
I plan to visit NZ in the summer for around 3 months, with the potential of staying longer – up to a year, depending on circumstances.
I currently work for an employer in the UK, who will allow me to work remotely (all I need is my laptop and an internet connection) for as long as I require.
My question is this: Would I be eligible for a Working Holiday visa if I plan to work remotely in NZ for my UK employer?
Or perhaps theres a different visa which is more suitable for my needs...? any advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

errmmm first time seen this asked.
I think if the UK company pays into your UK account then you should be fine on the normal 6mths visitors visa.
As for the WHV I have no idea but as you are only allowed to work a percentage of the term of the visa I'm not sure its going to be the correct visa.
I personally would call Immigration and ask them. And if you could come back and let us know what they say that would br great, if no one else from BE is able to advise.

As I understand it, I wouldn't be able to work on a normal 6 month visitor visa, even if it's for a UK company. Is it a case of it being technically not allowed, but I'd probably get away with it?
