working holiday visa help
Hi everyone,
I am finishing my second working holiday visa in Australia and want to come to New Zealand on a WHV. Is this possible after having one in Australia?
The immigration website states one of the conditions is "not have been approved a visa under a Working Holiday Scheme before" but do they mean a New Zealand WHV or any WHV from any country???

Re: working holiday visa help
New Zealand and Australia are both independent, sovereign nations. The Australian immigration laws and regulations will refer to Australian working holiday visas and New Zealand's laws and regulations will refer to previous working holiday visas issued by New Zealand only. Have fun in New Zealand!

Yep you can apply for New Zealand WHV too. The quote you have posted refers to only being allowed to come to NZ on a WHV once, you are not allowed to apply for this type of visa again once you have already used it in NZ.
Enjoy NZ, it's a beautiful country

Apply for a 2 year WHV straight off if you expect to want to stay longer than a year, especially if you are at the upper age limit.
