working holiday visa

My friend is on a working holiday visa (one year) in newzealand, and has applied for a 190 visa for australia. If he is successful (at the final stage of application) can he remain in newzealand for another year.

He can stay in NZ for as long as his NZ visa allows him to. The same can be said for his Australian visa he can stay there as long as his Australian visa says, neither can be used in the other country (as far as I can see)

Once your 190 is granted you will need to validate it by at least visiting Australia. The validation date s generally 12 months from the date of the earlier of either your medical or police check.

Thanks pollyanna, i have the following information from the newzealand gov web page http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra.../requirements/ re;Working temporarily in New Zealand, So on those facts i do believe a 190 pr visa from oz will allow for temporary work in newzealand. I could be wrong, what do you think.
