Work visa processing time (REAL not what's on the website!)
Hi all
Has anyone just got their work visas and can tell me how long they ACTUALLY took? (Nothing complicated)
I know the website says they aim for <25 days. (which I'm guessing are working days)
We're going to submit ours tomorrow hopefully and I'm really tempted to book my flights now and hope that I get my visa back in time.
I see flights for a few days in July have gone up £600!

Yes. One year open tickets no longer exist plus there's not much point getting a return we're hopefully not going to use!

I think if you submit it then just keep calling them you'd get it back quickly. Can't help on personal experience as husband got a Work Visa in Wellington and was lucky enough to walk in off the street and got it in his hand 2 hours later.
Hopefully some others will pop along soon with their UK experience

Ours were 5 days door-to-door in June 2010 in UK.

I too would be interested to find out how long they are currently taking.
We have submitted our work visa applications on Tuesday 29th May and have today received the email to view the progress online which are showing as 'pending'. We have submitted my partners work visa application as the principle applicant along with mine and our two dependant children student visa applications.
regards

Hi Deley
Yes it'll be good to see how we both get on - keep me posted!
We were going to post ours off today via the securest, most expensive royal mail route as we can't deliver to NZ house, but last night realised one of the supplementary forms needed to be witnessed by a solicitor! Thank goodness for Google! Did that today so ours will be in the bag tomorrow.
2 work visas - 1 LTSSL and 1 spouse work visa piggy backing on LTSSL, 1 visitors visa for baby. EOI goes in this week too! I'm broke thinking about the costs already!
Have you booked flights yet? some flights in July gone up by £600 since last week. Gutted.
