WTR under the skilled migrant category is not something you choose. INZ do that if, as someone else has said, you need to be registered or have some sort of licence for your work, eg. electrician, as in our case. With a job offer your application should whiz through. I noticed someone on here got PR some 6 weeks after submitting their EOI. I would definitely go for PR straightaway, but that's only my opinion. Good luck in whatever you choose.
