Default Work permit - partner question

As mentioned in another thread, I am now planning to include my partner on my work permit application.

Can anybody tell me, assuming we both get visa granted, if he has to actually arrive on the same date as me or can arrive a few weeks later? I can't get through on the (pound a minute) phone to NZIS for some reason, and the 'other number' wont let you speak to a human cos they know you are calling from the UK!

No, your partner does not need to arrive at the same time as you.

For you, no charge.

You do not even need to apply for their permit at the same time. I got my wife's work permit three months after I got mine (we could only afford to pay for mine at the time).
