Who can certify a passport copy?
 

Does it have to be a solicitor? I asked at my local police station, and they took a copy & certified it for me (although this is to use for the police clearance).

Could any other profession do it? e.g. doctor or head teacher?

We had ours certified by solicitors, not able to use police or customs officers:mad: would've have been easier if we could've, as thats what some mates are :sneaky:

I just tried to look on NZIS for you, but site not up at the mo :unsure:

we were lucky as my husbands friend is a magistrate and he certified ours for us, i would have thought that the police would have done it for you, i think in the ITA paperwork it says who can authorise it and also in the NZQA paperwork .

Hi Jane,
A Solicitor can, but ring around can be expensive up to £7.00 per item.
We have been lucky, a friend of my Dads is a JP.

I had mine done a few days ago at a solicitor 19 items cost me £25 :cool:

we went down to the local magistrates court and they certified ours - no charge.
