Whm visa to NZ and other inquiry

What are the requirements for a whm to NZ for a british citizen are they easier than australia? My friend may apply for one. I also have an Australian passport and want to know whether or not I'd have to pay for NZ university fees or will the hecs debt cover it like it does in Australia? Because I may chose to study there. Do I need a visa to work part time while studying in NZ? Am I entitled to claim NZ study benefits I.e like austudy, youth allowance etc.
