White Blood Count bit High

Hello, There,

My ITA was lodged on 14th Jan, 2016. I received one letter from INZ london branch that you need to repeat full blood count. What is noticed in my previous results my white blood cells were bit high all other things was good like platelets , haemoglobin, Red cell etc.

The normal range is 4-11, whereas mine was 11.8
What is your opinion will it be a problem ?

Regards
Noman

Not sure this good place to get a medical opinion and even if it was a medical professional would be looking at the whole picture not just white count. Also would be looking at what timeframe the counts had changed up or down to determine if any potential issues down the line which is likely why a repeat test has been asked for.

when we handed in our file the guy who took it said "well obviously this will be referred to medical" when we asked why he stated that my medical had come back with shadows on my lungs. Obviously this caused me concern so I immediately went to my own GP, explained the situation and she had me down in xray that day. came back as scarring from a time that I had had pleurisy and nothing to worry about. Also had GP on side if Immigration wanted to make a fuss.
So speak to your own GP if you are at all concerned, it could easily just mean at the time of the test you were fighting an infection or virus

I would echo MrsFychan's experience with this. My partner had the shadow on lungs thing so we booked in with his GP. No explanation other than it could be from a previous chest infection and to have an xray in three years to check the shadows aren't getting any bigger. This was all stated in the immigration medical and ended up being signed off with only a slight delay.

I would go and speak to your GP for some advice and go from there...

If you have flue you'd be a chimney. If you have flu you would be very ill and not likely to be going anywhere. What you possibly have is a common cold virus.
