When to sort your visa??
Hi Folks
My question is this. Is it recommended to sort out your visa before you come? I know it seems a bit obvious, but I have a kiwi wife who I have been married to for over 3 years now. Her mum lives in Napier and apparently there is an office in Palmerston where a friend of ours managed to get his visa sorted out on the same day at this office. Would i be okay taking marriage certs, birth certs, evidence etc over with me and getting it over and done with in one day? Or am I being a fool? Any advice much appreciated Take care Jamie |

If your kiwi wife isn't also a British citizen, then it's strongly recommended to sort out her British citizenship (by naturalisation) before she leaves the UK. |

Turning up as a tourist with a plan to stay longer is asking for trouble. Get the right visa before you leave.
