Default What is needed for ITA

Hi

I am new here, apart from making my eyes hurt with the amount of reading I have done on this site!

We were selected from pool on 7th October and I am now horrified to realise how long the whole process could take. My husband is the main applicant and he is a qualfied teacher, he has already had his qualifications assessed and is registered with NZ teachers council although he doesn't yet have a job.

I realise there could be quite a wait before we even receive the ITA (if at all), but was wondering if anyone could tell me:

Is there are any documents I should be starting to gather?

Will my husband have to prove his work experience again even though he has recognised teachers status from the NZ Teacher's Council and he had to provide all that information to them?

Will he have to provide all the evidence of this degree, as he has already had his qualifications assessed by NZQA?

I guess what I'm really asking is do they ask different people for different information or is it a standard form asking for the same information from everyone?

Will I go insane before the process ends? - no need to answer that I already know I will!

Sorry for the massive post, but I have so many questions.

Thanks

Hi there
Congratulations on being selected-the first step
The ITA is basically a printed copy of your EOI with a covering page saying what you need to provide when you return it.
Your Police checks will last 6m and your medicals 3m so I wouldn't bother with them until the ITA arrives just in case they go out of date-not worth spending more on having to repeat them... The police check only takes a couple of weeks to be returned to you and the meds can be done fairly quickly usually so no need to rush.
For proof of my degree I sent in a certified copy of my degree certificate [£2 from a solicitor].
As far as what you can do now is concerned: mainly evidence of your relationship and work experience and FULL birth certificates-I had to apply for one since I only had the short one.
Can't think of anything else off the top of my head.
Good luck
Sue
