What if my final degree is on the list Exempt from Assessment
Hello hello
I have question, I want to apply for New Zealand immigration, my final qualification (i.e. MS Computer Science) is on the list "Exempt from Assessment" but Bachelor's Degree is not on the list. Now what will be the process ?
Thanks

MrsFychan, thanks for your quick reply. I already know that I can claim for one qualification, let me explain my question. Actually I want to know that if I need to submit my all degrees towards my last degree to claim points for last one. Like from high school, senior high school then Bachelor's OR just my final degree Master's will qualify. If I need to submit previous degrees as well then what will be the status.
thanks
thanks

as far as I'm aware you just need to submit the qualification you are claiming for. no need to send the others in.

Yep, you only need to submit the one you are claiming points for.
However, you mention that your MS is in computer science. Most IT jobs are on the Long Term Skills Shortage List which may affect whether it is worth getting your bachelors assessed. You haven't given enough detail to say for certain
Your qualification must match exactly what is required on the LTSSL, a higher degree is not acceptable.
If you are considering claiming for bonus points for a qualification and work experience in an area of absolute skills shortage then you need to fit the requirements. Also if any work experience gained was not in a Comparable Labour Market country then it must have been with a multinational company domiciled in an acceptable country OR be in a job on the LTSSL in order to claim points.
So, it depends on what your point composition is, how much and where any work experience took place, whether you have a job offer, what lower quals you have and whether they match up to one on the LTSSL. It may not be worth you getting it assessed but it may be. You can still claim the extra points for having a higher degree but send in the bachelors to prove LTSSL eligibility [if indeed you are eligible]
In extreme cases it could make the difference between not being able to submit an EOI to being an automatic selection
