Visa Help!!!
 

Hi, i have been offered a job by an accredited employer in Auckland and need to get visas for myself and family. DO i have to get my visa before applying for wife and daughter? And will my daughter need a medical certificate (she is 3)?

you apply at the same time, You for a talent visa, Wife for a Partner of a NZ worker work visa, make sure you pick the one stating offer of work for more than 6 months and child would get a dependent child student visa (i believe)

In addition, yes your child must have an immigration medical just like you do but is exempt from x-rays until 4 years old. If i remember correctly it was around £270 for him and we were £400/£500 each. Our boy was virtually new born when we added him to the application.

Don't think it's supposed to be as stressful as it is, but human nature causes us to make it stressful. There's lots you have to do and lots you have to think about and not only for Immigration, but for the logistics of the move, shipping and flights etc, finding work, schools for the kids, somewhere to live, maybe pets to think about, transport to get around etc etc.


It'll all pale into insignificance though if you buy a section and have a house built of your own. That my friend is STRESS! :p
