Visa Costs & where to head to
 

Hi

I have just qualified as an accountant and im considering moving to New Zealand.

Just wondered if anyone could tell me how much it will cost to apply for the necessary visas etc. Also how long does the visa process take

I am planning to move with my husband who doesnt have a trade and my two children aged 14 and 2. We want somewhere with affordable housing and good schools, low crime etc. Really just a nice place to bring up a family. Any suggestions? We did consider Oz first but the deadly creatures puts me off!

Check out the NZ immigration site here

It will give u an idea of what visa to apply for etc.

The costs depend on the visa type also.

As for areas to stay i guess it depends what you want. For us we have to go where the jobs are. Which is gonna be wellington.

Also check out google earth... really good tool to get to see the place with eye level 360 degree pictures.
