visa on basis of a job offer no honoured/taken?

Hi,

I'm curious as to what would happen under the following circumstances, if anyone is able to advise?

What if someone had a job offer in NZ and provided the necessary paperwork for this, and had their visa granted, then either;

** the company has withdrawn the offer as they have filled the post
** or the applicant has been forced to turn down the offer in the event of eg. family problems that prevent them from leaving at that time.

Would immigration revoke the visa? If the applicant were to go to NZ a few months later would there be a check from immigration that they had gone to work for the company named in the job offer/visa details?

Thanks,
K

NZIS MUST be informed of any change of circumstances. Any change in a job situation may affect your visa, particularly if the company is named on your visa.

Sorry if that is not the answer you wanted to hear! :huh:

Have you hit a problem?:blink:
