Visa application for Essential skills work visa online
Hi,
just begun to fill in the online application for an essential skills work visa (its for my husband, but he is not too good with the paperwork side of things)
I have been uploading all the documents that they require. However there is an 'additional' documentation dropdown list. Is it advisable to upload as much as possible including birth/marriage certificate, driving licence, etc...
I wondered has anyone done a 'cover letter'? If so, what should this be about?
so my thinking is more the merrier with extra documentations, it won't hurt, just support?
I've also got my 3 children's visa's to do, I think I can complete these online too? My partner visa is only to be completed by paper though? I'm yet to find out! Lots to do but anyways... any feedback, supporting information & experiences would be appreciated.
Many thanks x

Re: Visa application for Essential skills work visa online
we did ours back in 2011 and things have changed since then, but I think the only documentation you require on the EOI is the supporting evidence for the job offer and qualifications. If you are then offered to do the ITA (invitation to apply) you then need to send all the originals of supporting documentation for the CO (case officer) to go through, as well as the medicals and police checks, evidence of a secure permanent relationship (marriage certs and kids birth certs are not enough) like joint bank accounts, joint bills, holiday bookings, photos, online chat screen shots etc.
When we did it all applicants had to fill out applications forms, luckily we didn't have to do chest xrays for the kids as both at the time were under 11.
