Using a company to assist with Visa's

Hi all

Just got an email from Australian Visa Bureau with lots of attachments. According to them we have passed initial phases and they want to guide us through the whole process which according to them takes 23 months and £2880. I just want to know if you need to use a company or if you can do it all yourself? They do offer full money back! Visa application still cost over £3000 on top of there services along with medicals etc.

You asked whether you needed to use this company or do it yourself.

NZ and Australia have different immigration rules and systems. No point asking us NZ folk the above question as we're unlikely to have the knowledge that can help you. Some might, but you'd be better off asking this in the Aussie section. You need to state which type of visa you're applying for as well.

I can tell you that NZ applications are fairly easy to do yourself and it would generally be a waste of a lot of money using an agent. But that doesn't really help you;)

Thanks for that, it was my 3rd post. To be fair I figured that you can do it yourself I just wondered if anyone had experience of it? Thunk it may be like the PPI saga where you can do it yourself or have someone else do it for you at a fee. NZ would be a lovely destination to consider as well - if only police were recruiting internationally! Thanks for the heads up though :)

Good luck!

Definitely ask the Aussie people as well, they'll be able to give you some useful advice as opposed to getting a NZ perspective on it. I don't really know anything about Aussie immigration.
Emigration is an expensive business, any money saved will always come in useful. Especially 3,000pounds!
