Us 1 Osgood Schlatters Nil!!!!!!!!!!!!

At last!!!!! We have got the coveted email 'You have been approved in principle, give us your dosh, we have your passports already and you can have your stickers!!!!!'

Thank you so much to everyone that has read my copious moans and groans on here. The MA has finally decided that my son's growing pains will not be a drain on the health service! :D

However, I did burst into tears when I told my daughter, as she can no longer come with us, as she is now pregnant and no longer dependent.

Been busy phoning all - now the mad panic sets in and what ARE we to do about selling the house?

Hubby home at the weekend (he's working in Germany) so will crack open the champagne then.

Think that's it for now on the rambling front! :D

Congratulations, you are in the same situation we were in, daughter got preganant just as we were applying to come out here, but we talk most days on skype and i stayed in the UK long enough to be there when grandson was born. You will miss her dreadfully, but having skype helps and just think after 3yrs you can sponsor her to live out here.

In the meantime let the celebrations commence :beer::beer:

So pleased for you. We are still awaiting the result of my medical referral but hoping that it will come back soon. Out of interest, how long did your referral take?

Our referral took the 4 weeks we were told;mind you as soon as the 28 days was up I was emailing the CO and got a reply that day........was it coincidence or did my email speed up his reply? Who knows. Might be worth a go to send an email yourself.

Hi Rockape,

As Phyllis said, 4 weeks. However, ours took lots of 4 weeks! As soon as we thought something was ok, they came back with something else, or what we had submitted was not detailed enough, or they then wanted specialist reports (for Osgood Schlatters, a type of growing pain!). Each time, we had to wait a further 4 weeks.
We submitted our ITA middle of May and got our email yesterday. Fingers crossed for you! Shame you haven't got growing pains - the MA now knows all about that lol!!!

Hi,
Thanks for the heads-up. I due to start work in November so I hope they get their skates on. Oh yes, and when I've got the odd hour or two to spare, I'll write a post detailing about how to import 5 pets from France via the UK to NZ. Now that really IS a bureaucratic Hell!

Well, OH home for the weekend from working in Germany and now frantically getting the last bits of finishing off done in the house - you know, tiling only half done in kitchen, first coat of paint done, but never got round to 2nd coat, etc!
Then, it's estate agent time......! A house in similar price bracket has just had a 'sold' sign put up after only a week or so, so keeping fingers crossed.
Anyone know of someone desperate to move to Tonbridge.......???? lol

Thanks once again for all the congrats - youngest and OH are already over in ChCh in their mind lol!
