Tired of waiting. Need some advice please!

I have a question related to IELTS. My wife was supposed to take IELTS in July but was not ready for it and she does not seem to be ready to take this month too. It looks like she will be taking it next month.

Instead of waiting for the IELTS score, I am thinking about submitting my EOI. Looking at the timelines of Water Lily and Rock Ape, it looks like it takes about 2 months to receive the ITA from the date the EOI selected. By the time, we sent our ITA back, we should have the IELTS score ready or may be even before that.

Is this a good strategy? Do you see any problem if we submit the IELTS score later?

I have 115 points, no job offer and I am the principal applicant.

sorry, I don't have any advice about the test but just wanted to say that now seems to be a good time to submit an EOI with 115 points as lately the selection point has gone down that far and who knows for how long it will stay like that.

Thanks. I think so too. I do not want to miss the opportunity waiting for the IELTS score.

I know people with job offers get higher priority, but what if one person has 150 points and another has 115 and both of them do not have a job offer? Is the person with 150 points going to receive his/her ITA sooner and get the PR decision sooner too? I thought the total points matter only when they are selecting the EOI and after that rest of the process will take about the same time, +/- one month.

I think only job offers get speedy treatment. Everyone else is in the same boat. I heard about 2-3 months wait for ITA was normal without a job offer. We are still waiting (selected 2nd July). We don't have job offer and only had 105 points (but we did have bonus points for absolute skills shortage qualification which is why we got selected).
