Temporary Work Visa Timescale?

Hello all

My partner is a tiler with a job offer, we have submitted an EOI which has been chosen and we are waiting for our ITA. In the meantime we have lodged a temporary work visa, this was posted today. Does any one have any idea how long these are taking to be processed at the moment?

Thanks!

from the Immigration website

Temporary Entry Visas
Over 90% of temporary entry visa applications are processed within 25 days, however this can vary. Please allow a minimum of 4 weeks for your application to be processed.

however my husband was over in NZ and managed to get a temp work visa in 2 hrs from the Wellington Immigration office

At the time our case officer said the temporary visa section was all backed up and the times posted on the website meant nothing. As Mrs F says if you are able take the chance and try and get one when you arrive in NZ. Otherwise its just a case of waiting i'm afraid. Good luck.
