switching to visitor visa
I am currently on a working holiday (2nd year extension) visa and was wondering how easy it is to transfer into a visitors visa? My working holiday finished 19th October. I've had the offer from my papas brother to go live with him for as long as I like and also with a friend. So I will be rent free my entire time here. Will I need to prove much? For example have enough money for living/flights out of nz. Or will I have to have flights pre booked? Although staying with my family will cut down food costs as well.
I want to stay for one last summer and Christmas. Hopefully make big day out I believe in my head that switching to a visitors visa shouldn't be a problem. But best to try find out now as I'll need to move onto aus when my visa finishes.
Thanks
Bill

Re: switching to visitor visa
IMHO, The easiest way to get a visitor visa is to be sponsored by a permanant resident for the duration of the visitor visa.
