Student Visa with autistic dependent?
I am thinking of applying for a student visa to study for a PhD. However I have a 16 year old son who has a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome. Is this likely to cause a problem with me gaining a student visa?
Thanks Xx |
Re: Student Visa with autistic dependent?
Well, he is still classed as a dependent child so age is not an issue. He will need a visa of his own. As to the Asperger's Syndrome side of things, I cannot help. It will depend on the level of care needed but I seem to recall others have been accepted. Oddly enough I have just searched for both Asperger's and autism and the search only brought up this post, strange:confused:
Partners and children of students If your partner or children want to come to New Zealand with you, they will need to apply for a visitor visa or, if they will also be studying, their own student visa. |
