Re: SMC- reasons for rejection

Basically everything for which you claim points could potentially be a cause for rejection. You need to then provide evidence, proof or verification in order for yourself and everyone else on your application to keep said points.

Age
Qualifications
Language
Work experience
Police record
Medical
Been naughty with a previous NZ immigration history, e.g. if you've been an overstayer, been rejected or deported from NZ in the past

After all that it is still very much at the discretion of the case officer as to whether they feel that you will be a suitable candidate to settle / know your stuff / have realistic expectations about the job market and how you plan to find a job etc.

Agree with the above, basically if you claim points and NZ Immigration dont agree you will be deducted those points, insufficient points and you will not be granted permanent residency.

Hi, thanks for the info,

that's mean if we claim 140 points in EOI and if we get less that 140 and more than 100 after submitting ITA, do we get the approval or we need to meet points which we claimed in EOI?

I believe your points are accessed once you have been pulled from the pool, if they don't think the points are correct then the EOI is rejected and you don't progress to the ITA stage.
