Re: Silver Fern TO Resident (Success Story)
Hi, hope that you will be fine and doing well. I am a candidate for SFV and these days working on required documents.
I need your comments on International Qualification Assessment. Actually, I hold two local profession degrees and one international certification listed as under respectively:
Associate Cost & Management Accountant (ACMA)
Associate Public Accountant (APA)
Certified Information System Auditor (CISA)
In academics, I am Masters in Computer Sciences (M. Sc.) and Bachelor's in Commerce (B. Com.). I have work experience of about 10 years that is blend of all area including accounts, finance, audit and IS audit.
Please share your comments on which qualification I have to choose for International Qualification Assessment for SFV purposes. Do employers in NZ prefer to consider the candidate only for the qualification of which assessment has been done by NZQA.
Some one told me that putting too much qualifications is not in favor of the candidate because it leads to over qualification and resultantly you may be rejected to get SFV, do you have any words on it..If level 7 is required and IQA results in level 8 then would it not be a good sign for the applicant??

Hi Guys,
Is it advisable to attached job experience certificates for Bachelors degree (level 7) when applying for SFV?
or just bachelors degree qualification certificate(diploma) is enough?
(since job experience for level 7 is not part of the requirement, only level 4 is required to submit this job experience certificates.
Any opinion from current SFV holder will be helpful.

Correct me if I'm wrong, for lvl 7 bachelor degree if my diploma is issued by one of the university listed in the exemption list there is no need to asses it.
correct or wrong?! pls help.

Thanks dear..Be blessed ever! I would choose my M.Sc. Computer Science Degree for IQA because it would be considered as equivalent to Bachelor degree in NZ. If I get level 7 then is it a must to have experience of two year in computer science field for SFV purposes.

Can you tell me if i have to sumit my original documents for SFV or send legalised/certified copies?
(for my bachelor degree diploma, police clearance, birth certificate)
The passport I'll send the original, that's clear for me
And I don't know if it will be a plus sending my work experience to. (it doesn;t appear in the check list that I've received by mail)
And a nother big question, if you nou, do I have to asses my bachelor degree diploma if it's issued by one of the university listed on the excepmtion list? (my understanding is - no, but just to be sure I'll need a second opinion)
Thanks for takeing the time to read this.
Have a great day!
