Arrow (SFV to PR) or (PR under Skilled Category)

As you know that "Silver Fern Job Search Visa" is issued for 9 months; if one is lucky to find a good job then he applies for "SF Practical Experience Visa" for further two years. Then after that he becomes eligible for "Permanent Residence".

The other option to achieve PR is to directly apply for immigration under skilled category.

I would like to know your comments / experience on which of these tracks is better with respect to cost and time etc.

Hi I am already in Nz and applied for direct residency(EOI).I think direct PR is better. But if its rejected then go for practical visa. Currently I am preparing all my documents .
But it also depends upon our job. As I am a Web Developer, so it comes under all areas i.e skilled employment, future growth area,absolute...
If you think your job is good enough to get PR, then go for it...It saves Time and Money both....(In case if you got PR)...
