Scam Fake Immigration New Zealand Website
 

Apologies if this has been posted already, but if it hasn't, it is good to watch out for this warning from the Immigration Advisers Authority (IAA) that a new scam website, an almost identical copy of the home page of the official Immigration New Zealand website, is functional and appears to be accepting individuals' personal details.

The IAA have highlighted the very tiny difference of a dash instead of a dot between the words immigration and govt.

Apparently individuals are also receiving an email appearing to be from a trusted source inviting them to click on a link to the fake website where they asked to enter personal details into a form as part of a phishing scam which aims to get unsuspecting individuals to hand over personal information such as personal banking details, IRD numbers, social media passwords or, in this case, passport details which can be very valuable to fraudsters.
