I wonder if someone could help please... From what I understand if you apply for a WTR visa you must earn over $55k and work over 30hrs p/w (please correct if wong), but what about applying for residency? If your EOI is accepted under skilled migrant category and you receive an ITA does it have restrictions on salary and working hours too? It looks like it might be the same, but I am unsure.

Unless your visa was linked to a specific employer who was willing to employ you on a designated wage I would think that it would not matter as you would be unable to specify beforehand what your wage may be.

You can find scales of average salaries for different occupations but these can be dependent on location as well.

The $55,000 salary requirement is for the Talent[accredited employers] WTR visa only and is worked out on a 40 hr week. The LTSSL WTR visa has no such requirement.

Under the SMC there is no salary requirement. To claim points for a job offer or job in NZ, the job must be permanent and over 30 hr per week.
[There does appear to be a requirement of $45,000 for one category of skilled employee but generally it's not a requirement.]
