RV to PRV - any hassles to expect?

Has anyone changed their RV to a PRV lately?
We are on residency visas and are coming up to the 2 year mark. We will need to change them to PRVs and get the travel conditions taken off. It looks simple and cheap to do - BUT is it??
Has anyone had any unexpected difficulties?
Can it be done in an hour? A day? By return of post?

Colleague did this recently and it was a simple process.
Checked what he needed to take in to Immigration and just walked in to their offices in Wellington.
All done while he waited 45 mins.
None of the family had ever left since they arrived 2.5 yrs ago so they all satisfied the more than 184 days rule and they also owned a house so they met at least two of the five criteria......and you only need to meet one.
