Residency granted!!
Hey guys and gals,
Just wanted to share our news. Today we received our 5 passports back inclusive of Residency Visas. Our Residency has been granted with travel conditions... If I understand correctly we can come and go from New Zealand as much as we like over the next 2 years as Residents. On the expiry of those two years we'd have to apply for a variation of travel conditions in order to get an extension of the travel conditions. However once we've been here for two years on a Residency Visa we can then apply for a Permanent Residents Visa which has no travel conditions at all. After our roller-coaster ride of an emotional journey to get here, finally having the Residency Visa feels wonderful! Thank you very much to everyone that assisted us along the way! :-) |
Re: Residency granted!!
Congratulations!!!! :thumbsup: Well done! I know what you mean about the emotional rolleroaster :rofl:
When are you planning on landing on New Zealand soil? :thumbup: EDIT: Just noticed you're already there! |

Many Congratulations:thumbup::thumbup:
If there are 5 passports does that mean the new baby has got residency then? Sorry can't remember how many of you there are:o You are right about the visa, 2 years in which you can come and go as a resident and then you need to renew it. If you have spent enough time in NZ [or fulfilled any of the other conditions] then you will get a PR visa which is indefinite and you only need to get a new one when you get a new passport. |

Only 7 weeks ago we thought we'd never get everything done in time. But with the cooperation of our fantastic case-worker at NZIS it all came together. |
