Post Question No.1 - path to NZ

Hi everyone,
We (wife & two young children) would love to move to NZ and have been told that as my wife, who is South African but with UK residency, could emigrate based on the following:
Both her parents have become NZ citizens and also both her brothers have too, my wife is now the only close relative living outside NZ; she has the 'right' to join her family (obviously under certain conditions). Is this correct?
Thanks in advance.

they changed all the family stream criteria in 2012. You would need to check with the Immigration site but I think if she is not financially dependant on her parents she may well have a struggle.

They are no longer accepting adult child applications
"Sibling and Adult Child Category closure
On 16 May 2012, the Sibling and Adult Child Category of residence closed. Immigration New Zealand (INZ) no longer receives applications for residence under this category. INZ will return any applications under this category received on or after 16 May 2012 without processing them (no fee will be charged).
For more information, please visit our Frequently Asked Questions on changes to the Sibling and Adult Child categories".

Hi MrsFychan,
Thanks for your quick response. Unfortunately that avenue does appear to be closed!
Thanks

The only way I can see them helping is under the Skilled Migrant Category-you get an extra 10 points for close family in NZ.
Obviously that depends on whether that option is a possible for you and your wife
