Question about PAR
 

Hi,

Has anyone filed for a (pre-assessment Result (PAR) application) ?
I am a IT professional and have some related certifications+trainings along with my university degree

So can I list them in the field that says "Vocational training / Work experience" in the PAR form or is that not required ?

Hello - I'm not an IT expert but I'm sure one will be along soon.

However do you need the extra points as well as the degree? Is your degree from one of the list of unis where you can automatically claim 50 points? Is your degree IT related?

I have 8 years of Lotus certifications and they counted for squat, but I included them in my EOI and ITA anyway, as they help to prove work experience.

Basically I am confused about it as the PAR form says that it will judge the candidate on only one qualification but than there is mention of Vocational training on page 7

So should I include my certifications/trainings in page 7 of form as 2nd and 3rd job experience, considering them as Vocational training? You can see the PAR form here

@littleal I am not from UK (Can I still post here?) and universities from my country are not on list, so I need to 1st get my education recognized

:confused: Hmmm not sure there. You should be able to use the Contact page on the NZIS website to get some answers, I think.

And yes you can still post here. :) Where are you from, out of curiousity?

My view would be Yes.
The degree is the qualification that will be assessed.
List other certificates and training as vocational. Use them to support your case.

Give NZQA absolutely everything they need ,to make their work of checking out your quals and experience as easy as possible. Be precise when entering an address , contact name or telephone number etc.
