Hello friends,

I just had a simple question regarding moving to Australia from new Zealand on student visa.
Actually my brother just arrived in new Zealand on student visa and he didn't like it living alone as all our family lives in Melbourne Australia. Going new zealand was entirely his decision based on some personal reasons. But any how he wants to move to Melbourne, Australia to live with us even on student visa. I want to know if there is any simple available for this transition.

I would imagine, unless he has Australian residency, he would have to apply for an Australian student visa. The same way he applied for a NZ one.

In your post you says he wants to live with you? Is that the main reason, or does he actually want to study?

Another alternative would be a Working Holiday Visa, if he is not keen on studying.

Remember New Zealand is not actually part of Australia.

Catchafire is right on, it isn't a transition, he needs to apply for an Aus student visa, if he qualifies he will be fine, if he doesn't he will have to think again.

His current NZ Student visa means naught in the process. As he presumably isn't either an Aus or NZ citizen he will be just as anyone else in the world applying for an Australian student visa.
