qualification in skills shortage

Hi

if you have no work experience (ie less than 2 years so not claimable) can you still claim bonus points for a qualification in an area of absolute skills shortage.

Read somewhere that you couldn't - HUGE panic now cos that's what we were relying on!!

Re: qualification in skills shortage

Hi,

I don't see why not as it comes under a different section on the EOI. It asks whether you have a qual in an area of skills shortage and if you have then it asks what it is. Then you get more points:thumbup:

Also when they do the selections, those with work experience in an area of skills shortage are picked out and then the next choice down is those with a qualification in an area of skills shortage. So obvously those with a qualification but no work experience are in a separate category.

Good luck
Sue :D
