Qualification points!
Hi All,
I am currently in NZ with a work visa/permit and my occupation is on the absolute shortage list (Electrical Engineer) I have around 5 years experience in this field.I am currently having ongoing skilled employment as electrical engineer here in wellington, NZ.
The point is I got confused about claiming points for my qualification as it is granted from a university (in Egypt) that isn't listed under Washington Accord, but, I have been previously assessed by Engineers Australia and qualified that my degree is comparable with the Professional Engineer competency level that in Australia, and assigned the ASCO # 2125-11, which is equal to ANZSCO 233311.
My question is, Can I claim qualification points in the light of Engineers Australia assessment done last year?.
Pl. advise

Re: Qualification points!
Quick answer ,because I am short on time here , is 'NO'. New Zealand is not Australia.
You will need to get the overseas quals assessed under NZ assessment standards.
