points for skilled job offer
 

Hello!

My partner is a Registered Nurse ( now also in NZ) and we are starting to search for jobs, what we are unsure about is the field is in an area of absolutue skills shortage so appears on the ltssl and on third column it states that you need qualification AND three years experience, column 4 says you need same for bonus points for qualification. Now, looking on the immigration policy on how they assess a job offer as skilled seems we are fine as Sarah has the qualification and we will look for jobs that match this and the experience she has but Sarah does not have three years experience post qualification here in the UK, does that mean we do not qualify for any points at all if we have a skilled job offer or does it only mean that we would not qualify for bonus points ( in both area of absolute skills shortage and also for her qalification) which is bachelors nursing degree? Without bonus points we still make 145 points as I have family in NZ and qualifications etc, we are both young(ish), but without qualifying for the 50 points for a skilled job offer we would be right down to something like 115 which we are skeptical would be enough for us to e selected. Apologies for the long and probably complex query! Truly hoping someone will have experience of these issues and will be able to reassure us we areworrying ourselves needlessly!! all the very best James

As long as your job is on either the LTSS or ISSL lists and you have a job offer and over 100 points, you will be picked at the next EOI pool, so it doesnt really matter as long as you have a job and its on one of the above lists.

My husband is going back into baking, which is now on the ISSL list, with the job offer he had 110 points, enough to get us PR.
