Points confusion

Hi,
As per the link www.immigration.govt.nz/pointsindicator my total points seem to be 115, as I am a computer network engineer I checked both the following as "Yes" "Yes".
Is your work, or offer of employment, in any one of New Zealand's:
identified future growth areas? Y/N
areas of absolute skills shortage? Y/N

But no matter if I say YES or NO my total points do not seem to change they remain 115. So that's a little confusing to me

I have an overseas(outside NZ) bachelors degree in Comp Sc. with 4+ years of experience in both future growth area and areas of absolute skills shortage I am 28.

I'd appreciate if anyone can help me understand this thing.
Cheers

Re: Points confusion

Can you have both skills shortage and future growth? Also do you have employment in NZ, or offer of employment?

Re: Points confusion

That question refers to any job offer or present work you have in NZ. So if you do not have a job offer then you do not gain points:)
Work experience is a different matter.

Re: Points confusion

I see... so employment refers to employment only in NZ
