Pls help me verify Work Visa in NZ
 

Hello bro, I m going to get a work visa in Newzeland through an intermediary person which I dont know of. I have to visit India to get the visa since there's no Newzealand high commission in my country.They are taking a huge money for getting me the visa but the whole amount will be paid after I verify the visa. I m completely new to Newzeland Visa procedure. Can anybody tell me how I can verify the work visa and my employer before I give the money. Is there any way I can track my visa status for work visa online? What are things/documents/evidence that I should ask for to verify my work visa?

How do you intend to actually get a visa? you have to apply to the Immigration office for you country and only if you fit a certain criteria will you be given a visa.

what skills do you have ?
are you applying for student visa?
are you applying for working holiday visa?

until you can give us some more information on what type of visa you wish to apply for we really can't help much

They will take all the money after I do all the verification by myself. Actually they will issue a work for us from a Newzeland accredited employer , which I might have not been able to do myself. Thats why I want to know the WAY to verify that work permit. Can I get it checked from Newzealand Embassy in India or even ONLINE ?

this sounds rather dodgy. If the Company is accredited you can get the visa yourself via the Immigration website tools. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migrant/

Once a visa is in your passport you generally have 12mths to come into NZ on it to activate it

Sounds very dodgy! You say you have an employer (which you need for a work or WTR visa). Did you have an interview? Is this 'company' who is getting you the visa just saying that there is a job and asking you for money to organise everything, because that is how it is coming across. Is this an employment agency?

As MrsF says, once you have a job offer it is not hard to get a visa yourself. Also only INZ can issue a work visa, an employer can't do this, nor can any agency an employer might go through.

It may be genuine but from what you've written, I would be very suspicious about handing over any money until you have checked this out.

You can register online at http://www.immigration.govt.nz/ However there will not be any record of anything until a visa has actually been applied for. And it sounds like that would not happen until you'd paid the money to this intermediary. You could try emailing INZ directly about the company. Another thing is that if they are immigration agents then they MUST be registered here : http://www.iaa.govt.nz/adviser-register/

What job do you do? Is it in demand? How did this intermediary contact you about the job?

I agree with the previous posts, this reads like a complete scam. Do not part with any money at all.

What is the name of the NZ Accredited Employer please ?
