Just submitted our EOI. I understand that they pick from the pool every couple of weeks or so. If w are picked, how long does it take to find out - eg if they pick on 28th Feb, when would I know?

Also, if we are picked how long is the deadline to fill in the real application form?

The last selection was on February 14th

They take place fortnightly and if selected your homepage details on NZIS shows a message saying selected on the right hand side of the page. You then have 4 months to return your ITA, even if not complete, although if that's the case you have to offer an explanation

does this mean that we could get picked next week or is there a processing period before EOIs really appear in the pool?

We submitted our on 19th December & was picked out on 21st December.

If you have a job offer or 140points or more then you probably will do

Does your job experience fall into the catergory of Absolute Skills Shortage?

If not don't fret, if you can score yourself a job offer in the 6 months that you remain in the pool, then just Fax a copy of it through to NZ House in London with your EOI details and they'll bump you up the list

yes quals in abs skills shortage + 15yrs experience in abs skills shortage area. Wouldn't get the job offer until much further down the line...

Been reading that conditions might be applied to a visa/permit - what might these be - could they include getting a job??? I have 130 pts but no job offer - planning to get that much later (just how my employment area works)
