Default Partner's Visa,

Hi,
I am being relocated to Auckland through my employer. We are applying for a Work Visa based on the "Essential Skills Policy".
My partner, same sex partner, can not be included on the visa application I understand...
However, from researching on the immigration website, I seem to understand that he may be able to apply for a Work Visa based on being my partner?? Am I right?

Second, in order to prove our relationship, since we are not married it is not so straight forward! We previously did a similar process with the Australian Immigration and they granted us with a 457 visa. We provided previous tenancy agreement, copies of flights booking for the past couple of years when we went holidaying and letters from Friends confirming our relationship... Would you think it will be sufficient with the NZ Immigration services?
The reason I am asking is that for OZ, my company used an immigration agent and they wont do so for NZ... Therefore, before lodging application I'd like to be sure of what we are doing...

Any help, advices are very much welcome!!

Thanks,

In my experience, the more "proof" you can supply the better. NZIS seem to set particular store by tenancy agreements, joint bank accounts, letters addressed to you jointly, datable photographs and letters from friends and relatives.
