Partner's complicated family details

Hi all! It's finally time for my wife and I to submit our residence application, with us going down the accredited employer work to residence route.

We're a little unsure what to do regarding my wife's family details. Her biological father has had no involvement throughout her life, with her step father being viewed by all as her father since being a young child.

We're unsure of my wife's biological father's whereabouts, whether he has had any further children and also his DOB. Are we best to enter unknown into DOB and country of residence and submit a letter explaining this along with our application?

Appreciate any advice!

Re: Partner's complicated family details

I'd go for telling the absolute truth.
If the question asks about your biological father then you should give what answers you can in that regard and provide further explanation as you see fit. The more details you can provide the better so I'd even mention the step father person in the additional info.
If the step father has legally adopted the person then I'd say the step father is classed as the biological father and again provide further information in that regard also including details (that you know) of the biological father.
Cover all bases. If you provide every bit of detail they won't come back to you and ask for further info.
