On a partner work visa - Can you be self-employed?
Hi everyone,
My partner work visa doesn't stipulate whether I have any conditions in relation to being self-employed..so was wondering if anyone knew anything on the subject.
The only thing it says in relation to employment, apart from the 30 month limit is the following:
'Holder may work for any employer in any occupation in New Zealand.'
Optimistically I could interpret that as working for myself ('any employer')..!
Thanks in advance!

Immigration site states:
You can work in any employment you like, as long as:
the work you do is legal
you don’t provide commercial sexual services
you don’t invest or operate in a business that provides commercial sexual services
you have any occupational registration that’s needed to do that work in New Zealand.
so seems like you can
