One of us has a visa

We had all sorts of issues with medicals and delays but finally I have had my two year temporary visa approved  and we are discussing flight dates with my new employer.

But we are still waiting to hear about Neil's :frown: they do know how to pile on the stress don't they :( why on earth weren't they considered together at NZIS as the extra consultants letters were sent in together!!!

Feel I should be celebrating but there again I don't feel like it really..... come on NZIS do your stuff!!!!!

Jan

I hope you have heard about Neil's referral now.

Re: One of us has a visa

no we haven't : it seems that it was not referred at the same time as mine because the guy at NZIS could not open a particular pdf file and took his time telling someone

We have booked the flights for 26 Aug in the sincere hope that all is resolved by then........

update:

still no visa for Neil, despite medical report saying he needs NO treatment.

Seems the MA is arguing with our consultant plus some other issues at NZIS I won't bore you with. Our lawyers are on the case....

But it's only 12 more sleeps until we fly out (allegedly) :(

NZIS are refusing to listen to the lawyers. It's not good.

Re: One of us has a visa

The specialist has said Neil needs absolutely no treatment at all, in writing.

The MA has said that his health currently not acceptable based upon very slight raised LFTS. Lawyers are arguing that this is not relevant for a 2 year visa as he is not going to cost NZ the required $25000 in the period of the 2 year visa, and they have asked the MA to prove that Neil will cost them this much in 2 years and why, considering he's not actually ill!!!!!!!!!!

There's more too but that's the basis.

In the mean time I could very well be in a plane next week ( I HAVE to start work), not actually knowing when I will see Neil again.......... How to split up a family in one easy lesson.

Dear Jan and Neil,

I am so sorry to read this post this morning and I am more than aware that I am unable to offer any solace. Just want you to know that I am thinking about you at this difficult time. Can Neil go out with you as a visitor whilst you appeal. Maria xx
