NZQA Fast Track?

Hi,
Just wondering about people's experiences with NZQA? I'm in the process of having my qualifications assessed and I paid extra to apply through the 'fast track' route. I should have received the assessment result within 20 days through fast track but so far it's been 25 days and still no result. It was an extra $150 for 20 day fast track, instead of the normal 35 day assessment. I'm thinking of asking for a refund now - has anyone had the same experience?

Re: NZQA Fast Track?

Hi there

This has long been an issue with NZQA. The standard 35 day processing time seems in busy times to have taken 3-4 months. I think they use these timeframes as very basic guidelines. It all depends on whether your qualifications need verifying too as this sometimes slows down the process.

You really need an enormous amt of patience when it comes to NZQA. We did fast track and unfortunately I can't remember exactly how long it took, but it was definitely longer than what they had stated. However, what I do know is that I got my results back long before any others who applied at the same time as me who did the standard processing. So I think you will probably find that although it takes longer, you will still be fast-tracked.

Good luck!
