NZQA Assessment & INZ EOI Point claim
 

This is my 1st post in NZ forum, exploring possibilities for INZ PR. would appreciate expert comments/experience.

1. After paying for PAR in NZQA, i realized from different forums that one can go directly for IQA directly, is this correct.

2. Can I lodge IQA before EOI (I want to be sure that 60 points in Qualification is confirmed in advance)

3. Telecom Engineer can claim point for ICT Future Growth area and/or LTSSL since the ANZSCO belongs to Broad ICT Sub-group

4. Is B Sc in Electronics & Communication engg. broadly comparable to B Sc ICT others in Nz

ANZSCO- 263311 (assessed by EA for Oz migration, this is in INZ LTSSL)

50 for Qualification B Sc. ECE (=L7, need to be B in ICT comparable by NZQA)
10 for Bonus point ICT comparable (=not sure if this is possible?)
20 for Spouse MA (=L7)
25 for Age Band (30-39)
25 for Work Experience 8+yrs in MNCs Telecommunication (=ICT comparable?)
15 for ANZSCO263311 LTSSL or ICT Future growth (again Telecom = ICT?)

145 Total Point without Job offer > 140 Cut-off

i had to go directly for the IQA - bloomin expensive,
Maybe a job offer would be the thing to aim for - then you will def. have the points??

thanks, yes Job offer wud have been most valuable, unfortunately I dont have one now.

Surprisingly PAR outcome received this morning - took only 2 days (eventhough hinted 20 working days), perhaps since my Uni degree had been listed in their database

As expected L7, but (Telco to ICT) comparability question still remains
not sure should i Go to EOI or IQA now.

I found NZQA excellent. I went straight for IQA, paid for a fast service and I got it.

How soon did u get IQA response, it says 35 working days.

I got PAR in 2 days, even though they said 20 days

The courier delivered my forms on 16-Nov, I had an email from them with a few questions in 21-Nov, and by the 26-Nov I got an email confirming my certificates were on there way back and my results had be passed to the Teacher Registration people.

Please can u update about your EOI and IQA status etc because i am also Telecom Engineer with 10 years of experience (i got PAR assessment for my BE in Electrical Telecom degree, L=7). I applied EOI online claiming 130 points , my EOI selected on 12-12-12 but still ITA not recieved. so apperciated if you can share your experience and current status.
