NZ visa
 

Hey all, first time on here so I apologise if im all over the place.

Im in desperate need of some sound advice about my emigration process, and im at a lose where to turn.

I have an eligibility letter and New Zealand format CV, and ive been applying for numerous jobs in NZ in an attempt to obtain a "work to residency visa".

Im finding that most potential employers though are not that interested because im not in the country.

Im now thinking of just going to NZ on a normal visitors visa, securing employment once im there, and then obtain the "work to residency visa" once im there. Risky maybe, but I cant think of any better way to do it really.

Any comments or suggestions would be gratefully received.

My husband came out to visit and have a look round staying at a friends. He was over on a 3 week holiday and just got talking to the right people at the right time and had a job and a Works Visa by the second week. He works in IT. Needless to say he didn't return on the 3rd week, that was back in Sept 2011 and the whole family got their PR's on 14th Feb 2012.

You do need to be careful coming over with the intention to look for work as some agencies have differing idea's on the rules. So don't bring lots of paper copies of your CV in your luggage. Have them on a USB or saved on web for easy access to print off. If you have the time and money in some professions it is the easiest option to be here.
