Can any one offer any advice for a British Soldier hoping to transfer/join the New Zealand Defence force.

Hello Dave,
There is an airbase at Woodville which is near Blenheim on the South Island of New Zealand. Most people head for Auckland as it's the largest city in N.Z. Or Wellington as it's the capital.
My husband and I are going to Christchurch to live as it's a nice city. He is a New Zealander and I've got family category visa. So, we will have to find work when we get there.
