Not Invited to Apply

Hi there

I hope this isn't too sensitive a topic to post but I'm curious and anxious to know if anyone out there has submitted an EOI and been selected but NOT invited to apply. What are the reasons they decide not to send you an ITA?

We have just been selected recently and are waiting to hear from NZIS. I know it's a long wait and I'm not expecting to hear anything soon (as we don't have job offer) but our qualifications and work experience don't match and we have a bit of a funny case so we are not convinced that we will receive an ITA and are just waiting to see what NZIS makes of our EOI. It would be helpful to hear some other people's stories about why they didn't get invited.

Thank you

Re: Not Invited to Apply

A friend of my wife had her EOI at first accepted and then later withdrawn as they decided her occupation was not skilled. She has since returned to Japan. However, something like 97% of ITAs that are submitted have a positive outcome.
If you are in the 100 to 135 point range and you don't have a job offer, then your stay in the pool might drag on a bit. Those with job offers will be processed first.
