New Zealand question- which visa?
 

Hi,
I am having trouble looking on the NZ immigration site - I cant seem to find out which visa would apply for me as a nurse. Nurses seem to be on the Priority Occ list but not the Occ shortages list??!! If you have a employer as a sponsor does that change things???? Any help much appreciated!!

THIS IS NOT GOSPEL - just what I think

I would have thought you would apply through the SMC (Skilled Migrant Category) route and recieve extra points for the fact you are on the Priority list, therfore ensuring you get pulled out of the poll (but not in the next two months please as our application is going in soon!!).

Employer sponsorship isn;t something I have come across (and I looked at every angle when we were applying).

I suggest you either start at the very beginning of the Migrant section of the website and read EVERYTHING to give yourself a much better idea of how it all works or phone them up - the latter can be a bit painful but if you get a good chappie at the end of the line they will sort you out.

Or contact a migrant agent or even an overseas recruitment agency, they should be able to help you.
